Each year 15,000 children are diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the Blood Donor Center has partnered with the MGHfC Cancer Center to encourage life-saving donations. On average, each child uses 15 blood products throughout the course of chemotherapy.
