I prefer dogs, I wish I could have a dog but I live in the Ether Dome with Padi and neither are animal-friendly. What is your biggest pet peeve? I hate pen clicking, when someone is giving a lecture and people in the audience can’t decide whether they want their pen ‘clicked’ or not they just fiddle with it! And there is nothing I can do about it because obviously interrupting the presenter would be rude and the people rush past me afterwards. Did you pick your specialty or did it pick you? I think my specialty picked me; I wasn’t too fond of the way surgeries were performed in the Ether Dome before we had anesthesia or even ether and really wanted to move locations. I stuck it out and have enjoyed the occasional silence and frequent lectures ever since surgeries were moved to more appropriate environments. If you could tell your younger self something, what would you say? Don’t worry, you will never age. What are you reading for pleasure right now? I am really enjoying reading Adrift: Seventy-Six Days Lost at Sea by Steve Callahan.
